One of the
objectives of transhumanism is to ensure happiness. The most reckless and
subjective task, since happiness for each person, is their own. And to achieve
this state is possible because of drugs or alcohol. But if you start to
disassemble the term, we arrive at a sequence of occurrence of needs and their
satisfaction. "Happiness" can be seen in this light. But what does
this mean for transhuman?
Maslow's
hierarchy of needs, more than in detail, shows the hierarchy of human needs.
The peak is a self-development, improving yourself as a person. But is this
final for personal development? After reaching such heights, becoming the ideal
person wants to move on. He will begin to change the world.
Something
similar we observe the situation, "archer". He shoots in the field,
and follows an arrow, raises it and shoots again. And so as long as the arrow
does not shoot in the wall. Then Archer climbs the wall and takes another shot.
An infinite number of times in development.
We do not
know what wants posthuman. We cannot understand his psyche, his need, his
desire. We can only hope that they will be higher than in humans. Ultimately,
our needs are more noble than that of animals.
