Terms survival

Objectively, this is what forced us to become what we are. Without a certain number of incentives, people would have to exist, no different from ordinary wood. Now, we can observe like the existence of those who ensured full weight of vehicles and thus isolated from society. An obvious example would be a person who is "grown" in a supportive environment, without competition and demand instant gratification. It was formed as an infantile personality, unable to move. That is what our civilization can be expected in the near future.
Such an example was in the past. Pay attention to Rome. In the empire that frightens ancient Europe. Empire, whose power was absolute. Debauchery, vanity, pride - are embodied in the hedonism and thus undermine the foundation of a great power. Rome fell because the people who believed in democracy, equality and civility are too relaxed, preferring to work holidays. Accordingly, excess vacation just as harmful to man, as well as work "to wear".
In terms of survival, we have to improve, not to die. But if we can develop without external stimulus? Most of all - it may be worth only to want. Want to badly enough. It is appropriate to refer to the psychology of Eric Berne, who considered the existence and development of man, heavily dependent on desires. The point is that we are biologically approximately equal. We have arms, legs, brain, knowledge and other basic attributes. Most of us are able to use and implement and develop their inclinations. Furthermore, we can develop the skills derived from society. The only difference is how much we want this or that.
This hostile environment is an incentive strong desires. Not necessarily out of the "comfort zone" that would achieve something. It is important to realize just how important it is for us a definite purpose. Accordingly - the next step will be directed toward her. But, that would move - we are obliged to change. And this example works in both the personal and social levels.
To achieve growth in the scale of evolution, we have to change a number of criteria in all areas (or very many) lives. Change thinking, physiology, social institutions, norms of morality and law. And now we can really do it. We have the technology to modify the body, there is a huge collection of volunteers, which is holding back the norms of morality and law that were created thousands of years ago. The bottom line is that we really can improve a person so much that a new creation will be much better than us. We are able to manage the evolution within a single generation.
But we are deprived of the stimulus. Yet they denied.
