The
probability to be born at the beginning of the apocalypse is growing with each
new child on the ground. As strange as this phrase did not sound, but it's
true. Imagine a line. Each new division of her, a man. If the line is infinite,
it does not matter how many parts we divide it. But what if it is the limit?
The more divisions (men), the closer the final feature will move in our
direction. Or are we to it. Especially there is no difference, as the distance
is reduced, and we know that the universe is not infinite, and can be a lot of
different factors that will erase the planet into dust. But is it?
What is the
chance that the apocalypse will be the end, the final point of mankind? How can
we be sure that die out, finish the journey of life? After all, there are safer
options for the future. Mankind may disappear, but remain its representatives.
Those who are able to adapt to new conditions, having changed only
superficially, gaining more features and sacrificing something of their own.
Technology
gives us the ability to modify the DNA, add artificial limbs, to experiment
with consciousness and develop the industry in which a person offers a chance
for a new life. You do not have to give up such human characteristics as
detailed palette of feelings, the concept of honor, valor and morals. But
sooner or later, we will be forced to abandon the bodies. On his deathbed,
under the surgeon's knife, taking regular medication - we interfere in the
functioning of the organism.
Today, we
can improve ourselves voluntarily. Not in order to survive. But sooner or
later, we may need it.
