Transhumanism
involves improving the human using the achievements of science. Indeed, in this
area we can change qualitatively, rejecting all the weaknesses of the human
body. Become a new, full-fledged entity. Free. But are we ready to change, and
that's enough if we have this power? After all, the weakness of which we are
accustomed to call "human" have to "humanity" is almost
irrelevant.
Nothing
human is alien to us. And by that we mean absolutely vile, animal desires and
instincts that are typical of our brethren. The power of mind over behavior.
The power of something animal, on morality, ethics, and other characteristic
attributes of the person. So who are we? The same animal, artificial
intelligence, or beings that is ready to move to a new level?
It is the
quality of our beliefs, philosophies, principles and practices allows us to move
on. We are not animals, because we can control the instincts, to sublimate
them, or meet properly, getting the greatest benefit. We are evolutionarily
superior not only because the more intelligent. We are more developed
instincts. So whether we will continue to improve, or refusing to competently
using animals disadvantages? It depends on us.
