In order to
survive, we have to fight. That struggle is positioned as the engine of
evolution. It helps the mind to claim status in the chain of organisms, and
surpass competitors, growing more and more, becomes perfect. Transhumanism
suggests that the main enemy of man is he himself. Defects of the body are too
visible, to allow them to continue to be part of us.
We learn to
look for reasons to eliminate them as efficiently as possible, keep a regimen
and stick to the rules. We create ourselves from the primitive harvesting,
tending to more satisfying needs. But in any case the development involves
overcoming difficulties. Not because of nested resources, time and forces, but
in spite of the difficulties, which erects the world in front of us.
A person
can remain the very same monkey, spending life in happiness and prosperity. We
can praise the hedonism and build a life, focusing only on the pleasure needs.
But unless, can it be called a life? Without pain there is no growth, without
difficulty we reach perfection. Of course, you can give up right now, and never
reach the fullness of all possibilities. But do we deserve this?
