The issue
is not so much a scientific as part of an ethical synthesis of man and machine.
It is very difficult to determine how the machine can be humane, and how people
can become inhuman.
To conduct
ethical and moral analogies are invited to look at the world of animals. People
eat animals without thinking (or trying not to think) as they appear on the
table. The process is very humane slaughtering, moreover, butchers care that
the animals would not feel stress. Brutal slaughter moreover that is not
rational, so also raises a number of protests among certain groups of people.
Consequently, in the manifestation of emotions, animals are similar in part to
people and observing their torment - affects our emotional state.
The nature
of human emotions and animal - is the same. Distinguishes us - the presence of
intelligence and self-awareness. The psyche is not peculiar to animals, and it
is only a consequence of intelligence. But can a pure intellect to experience
feelings, emotions and respond to them?
If you
develop a special emotional environment, ensure its competent work and connect
to the AI, it's not a person. Bare intellect (even armed emotions) will be
indifferent - to live or not. It has no purpose that it could lay people.
We all go
to the realm of metaphysics, trying to find the name is not material things,
and try to integrate them into the framework of our world. Therefore - this
post purely theoretical, and, at the moment, is not checked in practice.
But that
does not prevent us from thinking of a feeling in our own creations and to
create beings like ourselves.
