When
personal development, the only one on which we can orient ourselves is
"yesterday." Trying to outdo themselves in the past, you grow up on
yourself in the present. And the criteria for such an increase could be as much
as there are types of employment on the planet.
But
what happens to a man who decided to completely change your life? We can
imagine the most successful variant of such action and obtain a new identity,
which will appear different from the old version of himself. Some mental setup,
algorithms and values - can remain unchanged. In the course of life we are
"accumulating" a certain style of behavior and this style continues
to guide us. Although the word "direct" is not the most successful.
Rather, the style will be shown in certain tendencies and certain situations.
Without taking our new life under control and giving it certain characteristics
and features.
These
features will always be stored in our body to work in certain situations, and,
sooner or later, we can return to its former state. But what if we put the
question more sharply? Let's come to the more radical intervention in the human
body. It changes not only the style and way of life, but also changed the body.
Will the same people, or it will change forever?
It
all depends on the extent of affecting the psyche. If we directly intervene in
the process, on which the person harmed the brain or purposefully will pursue
the idea of a change of behavior, ways of thinking, or other characteristics
of the person, yes. We'll change the person.
But
if we gave him an artificial organ that would be better "native",
will change if this person? As a person - hardly. This will give more
opportunities to man, but not the fact that he will use them. Perhaps he will
allow himself to live a more relaxed, but most likely - to quickly get used to
the new "convenience."
It
is one thing - to interfere with the body in order to change something, to make
a body to perform another function, or purely experimental reasons. It's quite
another thing - introduced into the organism and to ensure a better life. To
change the factors that indirectly affect our occupation. This is akin to the
experience. Does the experience (gained by man for life) we have as a person?
Yes. In what direction? The best, because if we take into account the act of
literacy. We can artificially enhance the human intellect? Yes. Will this
change his personality? In a small extent if it will continue to do what worked
before. However, this approach works only within a single paradigm of
psychology, which is based on human activity.
The
changes that lead to a better person, uncritically affect personality. On the
contrary - help to fully unleash the potential and give new opportunities. But
how exactly they will take advantage of people - quite a different matter.
