Evolution
of species is based on the superiority of some individuals over others. The
constant competition, and competition for limited resources, we have to get
better. But individuals that are superior to us automatically cause a feeling
of fear or respect. This is natural, because we fear what we cannot understand.
Sudden advantage of a certain subject or subjects of the group will be regarded
as a kind of hostile act. And our desire to resume control is justified.
We do not
know what they want or whatever deity they may want. The motives of actions of
certain political leaders and military dictators, I can t go beyond bigotry.
But the guided creature whose behavior cannot be explained starting from our
world?
Technology
gave us a phenomenal opportunity, gave unprecedented power. If we extrapolate
the rate of progress, we get the creatures, compared to which a person seems
less of an ant. To deny this is tantamount to abandonment of directed
evolution. The technological evolution that, sooner or later, will allow each
of us to become something more than a man.
