Who is the man? Too broad criteria, but that if they narrow and reformulate the question on "Who am I?". And everyone starts to enumerate particular characteristics or in any other way to provide information about themselves. Even the absence of information, the refusal of the provision, tell us enough to assess personality. But as far as objectively? How true the view that man is what he himself says? Or those who believe it more.
We simulate the behavior of the most desirable in the circumstances. What we are experiencing at the same time - nobody's business. But sooner or later, we will demonstrate and Tear or "real face", or simulated behavior becomes natural. Of course, there is an option, when we really do what we think, and the inconvenience is compensated in the long term. But is it possible to use a similar mechanism for the acquisition of something new? Certainly yes.
Each of us has the reference person (or group of persons). We look up to them, copy their mannerisms, behavior, guided by the same principles, and try to match their level. And according to this group of individuals - we change. If one simulates the behavior of marginal, he becomes an outcast. If successful leader - becoming a leader. It all depends on personal preference and the environment. But a person can become something greater, or potentially new?
Yes. If it is true it will set the direction of development, and will personally develop this sphere. Develop opportunities, just relying on someone else's results, performance and achievements. Do not mindlessly copying them, and seeking something new, unique and useful. Simulated perfect image in the mind, we can only strive for it. Otherwise, it will not cause us nothing more than discomfort.
Only simulating certain behavior, we become its carrier. Pretending that either, we feel, we feel, and ultimately act as would do our protege. This allows you to take some of the responsibility. To say that we did not, and someone else who is not part of our "real".
But whether "real" have we? There are many definitions of what (or who) a real person. In the existential vision - a man is when consciously aims to choose methods to achieve it and sells it. Only a conscious process of man is another. But how often do we make this choice? How often do we take the responsibility?
Blaming others and continue to live by their rules - is meaningless and difficult, but nobody wants to deny themselves this pleasure. He does not want and can not. But unless we do not claim anything more than a man? Do not we deserve it?
Responsibility or dependence - everyone chooses.
