Compensation

Defects not allow a person to unleash the full potential. They restrict, fetter, destroy. We become hostages of their own bodies because of the imperfections of nature. So is it worth to put up with the fate, perceiving it as a given? Is man was created for that to die? After all, the instinct of life that is in each of us stubbornly leads us to reproduce and to ensure optimal conditions for a new generation. And if we cannot get rid of the restrictions, we compensate them?
In a way - yes. It does not affect all kinds of diseases, it depends on many conditions and volitional faculties, but we can be better. Top athletes, speakers and actors, as a child were painful, the poor, the weak and invisible individuals. Schwarzenegger suffered a lot, Demosthenes stuttered, Hawking cannot speak on their own. But all these people are proved to be strong personalities, and, in spite of the defects have its peak potential. And it is not going to stop.
So what are we worse? What distinguishes us from successful individuals? The level of sophistication of skills to adapt and volitional qualities. Can we claim to be more and to strive for the better? It depends on us.
